Why Grubbing Matters

Cutting a tree at the ground is not clearing. Roots and buried stumps left in place rot, settle, and leave voids that undermine fill and foundations. Grubbing pulls those out below the surface so the subgrade is clean and stable. It is the difference between a lot that grades true and one that develops soft spots a year after the crushed aggregate base goes down.

Our Process

We call 811 first, then work the parcel in a planned sequence so topsoil can be stripped and stockpiled as we go. Merchantable timber and debris are separated, stumps are grubbed out, and the ground is left rough-graded and ready for site prep. Erosion control such as silt fence goes in wherever the slope and stormwater plan require it.
